Jim Schmidt, our government relations representative has informed us of GREAT NEWS. The TN Hospital Association has elected NOT to pursue Corporate Practice of Medicine legislation in 2018. This does NOT mean another group might not push the issue but this does get us past a major hurdle to preserve our independent status. Our thanks to all of you for your support. A special thanks to Jim, his partner Melanie Bull and to members of our society and the TN RBMA who have given generously of their time talking with THA and other potential sponsors of CPOM legislation. In the words of Jim “A GREAT DAY”.
Will remain alert to further challenges on this and other issues. Our battles will likely never be done but through your help we can persevere.
